TransReport Services Inc. is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2016! Headquartered in Guelph, ON TransReport specializes in setting up for-hire and private carriers with the authorities, business registrations, tax accounts and vehicle permits required to operate lawfully throughout North America. They work closely with their clients to ensure their ongoing compliance so they can focus on running a profitable trucking business.
TransReport was born in 1991 when founder Clive Carwardine recognized an opportunity to provide licensing, permitting and tax compliance services for trucking companies in south western Ontario. Armed with his previous experience as a former driver, owner operator, dispatcher and safety and compliance manager, TransReport Services Inc. opened its doors in Elora, ON.
The early 90’s was a time of massive growth in our industry made possible by continued deregulation, a strong economy and a healthy expansion of the manufacturing base in Ontario. With a handful of customers and an office full of paper, Clive, wife Dale and one other employee created a service model that featured a high level of hands on service that ensured their customers permitting and tax compliance. TransReport prided itself on its attention to detail, friendliness and its ability to go above and beyond for its customers. As the years passed the company steadily grew and began to offer an expanded list of services to meet the needs of a rapidly changing regulatory landscape.
In the early 2000’s, technology rapidly evolved and much of the paper document handling moved online. Throughout this transition TransReport remained committed to maintaining its high level of personal, responsive service.
In January of 2014, TransReport Services added another full-time employee, Collin. The son of owners Clive and Dale, he joined the family business after receiving an Honours B.A. in Recreation and Business from the University of Waterloo. With a limited knowledge of the trucking industry in general and regulatory compliance in particular, Collin has since obtained a Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP) designation from the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation and continues to immerse himself in the trucking industry.
TransReport Services commits itself to adapting and growing with the industry while maintaining a focus on service and relationship building. We look forward to providing solutions to many complex regulatory compliance regulations over the next 25 years.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank each of our customers for their continued support; we truly wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for you.
Sincerely,
Clive, Dale & Collin Carwardine
